So Monday was Steinkjer to Namsos, I had trouble getting out of the town- you cannot cycle on the main road at this point and my mio took me a very hilly route out. A hot day...this time I was resting in a bus shelter(eating an orange) rather than hiding from the rain. When an elderly gentleman from the house opposite came and asked me to visit, and I was fed cold drinks. His son had worked in the oil industry, and the twin grandsons where very keen on football.
I reached Namsos by 4pm. After checking out the supermarket, I just carried on cycling. Over a big hill rather than through the 'no bikes' tunnel.
Then this animal ran out of the road in front of me...enormous! Much bigger than a red deer stag.

Up through forest I saw more sheep with bells on.
Eventually cameback down to the coast at a place on the 769 called Salen Tiered.
Today is raining but quite refreshing. Have been in 2 ferries across fjords, and passed a few touring cyclists. including one lady from North Cape on her way South. If she is home before I arrive I thus have somewhere to stay.
Just eated a large omelette for tea; a welcome change from pasta.
Staying in a proper campsite at Vennesund. My route North for the following few days follows road number 15.
Oh yes, a fox has been trying to get into my tent. He got shouted at but seemed brazen!
