Great cycle path into Bodo but minimal traffic on the road on Sunday morning anyway. It only started to rain when I got off the boat. Apparently the wind is going to settle overnight. There has been fishing here since Viking times: the fish mainly cod gets dried on racks hung in a way which prevents the gulls from getting a grip. All that is left at this time of year are the heads. They get sent to Nigeria-I do not fancy Nigerian cuisine.
I am staying at a campsite on the west coast at a place called Ramberg, a bit like Shetland with the wind- it is strong. I met my first U.K. tourists since I have been in Norway-a couple of girls who are walking. A lot of hikers on the ferry some with very large backpacks to carry. The campsite here has a good size kitchen/sitting room so most people have settled themselves there. Me too for most of the evening. Not the kind of people to have been fishing sadly!
